Goodbye Snow, Hello Wind

YAY! The snow seems to be on its way out the door. Thats awesome. Unfortunately the wind is still strong and cold. I may have just become a better person because i feel really bad for the people in Japan. And Hawaii for that matter. The Tsunami that hit Japan took a lot of cars for a wild ride along with a few boats. Watch some footage on youtube. It makes you realize that its pretty crazy out that direction. Even Russia is getting hit by meter high waves.

In other news i just picked up some new reading materials. The Comic series The Darkness: Origins.

This Graphic novel depicts how a mafia hitman named Jackie Estacado was both gifted and cursed on his 21st birthday. He inherited the power of the darkness.

The darkness is an odd type of thing. It can only manifest when it is in the dark and when Jackie chooses to. He can bring all sorts of minions to life to do his bidding which includes darklings and tentacle like aparatus. He also gets Darkness Armor to protect his body and grants him sharp claws.

The Darkness is a curse because now that he has it. Jackie Estacado can no longer have sex with mortal women.... He can, but he risks his life doing so. When the bearer of the Darkness impregnates a woman the Darkness power moves on to the unborn son or daughter and at that time kills the father(original bearer). So you can understand why Jackie is somewhat pissed off to find out that he cannot be rid of it.

There is a whole ton of other gory shenanigans but Ill make you read that stuff for yourself :)


Another series i have been reading lately is that of the Scott Pilgrim series.

So this series is obviously about Scott Pilgrim and his day to day life living in Toronto, Canada. He starts out dating a chinese 17 year old girl named Knives Chau. Then he meets his dream girl Ramona flowers and kind of two times Knives for the new girl. The catch is that he is forced to fight Ramona's 7 Evil Ex-boyfriends.

He starts this out in a simple enough manner. I will make you read some for yourselves though. If you happened to see the movie, which was also really good, there are a few differences to note.

In the black and white comic series Ramona is way less of a bitch. In fact she is entirely cute and lovable as a character. Also Scott Pilgrim is much more of a bad ass in the comics. The movie does do the comics justice though by including the same wardrobe, character styles, and even placements. Sometimes even small things like the graphic on a coffee cup was made to be the same.

I rate those both a two thumbs up so check em out. Ill be back with more updates laters.

Friends, Life, Novel update, and Questions.

So I'm gonna start this one off with my favorite topic to talk about at this current point in time. My NOVEL!

All joking aside. I just rewrote a quick section of chapter four and added a black hole tug of war scene before he is slingshot towards the purple planet. I'm trying to come up with cool ideas about the creature that is stalking him and a way to foreshadow the woman on the planet whom he eventually meets and tries to woo. haha.

At this point in time right now i have been working constantly and i cannot stand it. Tops is all 4 hour shifts early morning and the Osier is all 7 hour shifts late at night. So needless to say these days i am extremely sleep deprived and i would love to find a way to fix that. Does anyone have a cure for this other than alcohol? yeah thats right. Its one way to help me fall asleep, but i am trying really hard to refrain from drinking these days.

Some of my friends recently have gotten extremely distant. I haven't acted any differently. I haven't noticed any real changes to them either. So i feel offended and honestly I am becoming a bit angry about it. You can only break plans so many times. Even after questioning i still have no answers. I don't give up on friends, and I do care about them. I trust them to tell me when something is up. I cant respect being lied to and I don't deserve that. But what can you do. On with life i go.

Recently i have been under the impression that my phone hates my guts. At first it just had a screen that froze every so often. Now the screen cracked and freezes 4 times a day. And just within the last few days the speaker blew in it. Now i can't use the alarm or make calls. May 9th is my next available upgrade and it cannot come soon enough.
I am happy today. I don't really want to work, but at least it keeps my brain busy.
